In the begining of Macbeth we talked about Lady Macbeth and Macbeth's relationship, the characters in Macbeth, the witches, how we were going to figure out what they were saying because of the Shakspear language, and of course that there is a lot of blood in this play. I know that blood is gory but it makes several appearances in Macbeth. We see this throughout the play because Macbeth kills a lot of people and there are several times when they talk about blood. It all starts when he kills Duncan because after he killed him he had to keep killing people, including his best friend, to get what he wanted, which was to be king.Throughout this book, there is several murders and a battle at the end against Macbeth. Also towards the end Lady Macbeth starts sleep walking to try to get rid of the blood so the blood also comes back to haunt them.

Quotes from Macbeth
A quote that I found important in the three Acts we have read so far is "If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well It were done quickly: if the assassination Could trammel up the consequence, and catch With his surcease success;" This is a quote from Act 1 and it is Macbeth's sililoque about whether or not he should kill Duncan. He is saying to himself that if he were to kill Duncan it would have to be quick because if he gets caught doing it, it would be okay for the next to be king to kill him. It matters to this play because in this play he ends up killing Duncan that leads to many other deaths.
When he kills Duncan it leads to more deaths like the death of his best friend, Banquo. A quote I found important in the killing of Banquo is " O treachery! Fly, good Florence. fly, fly, fly! Thou mayst revenge- O slave!" This was what Banquo said before he died to his son Florence. This shows that Florence is still alive and the profecy that the witches gave him about his son being kings still can come true.

Spring Break
This Spring Break was by far the best break I have had this year. For the first part of it I went with my family to our lake house in Mississippi and celebrated Easter there. While we were there we had a fishing tournament between my family. The teams were Clark and I against my sister Rachel and my dad. Rachel and my dad ended up winning but it was still fun. We also went tubing even though the water was way to cold. While we were there we got to hang out with our friends, the Smiths, and our family. We had a lot of fun!
For the other part of my spring break I went with Estelle to Seaside. The water was so pretty and the weather was perfect! One night we biked to the red bar in Grayton Beach and biked all around water color the next day. We hung out a lot at the beach and we saw lots of people we knew. It was so much fun!

Statements
3) Everyone is capable of lying, betrayal, and violence, which are basic parts of human nature.
I agree with this statement because I believe that everyone is capable of lying and betraying someone. I also believe that people have a mean side to them it just depends on who they show it to.
4) Who we are-- our essential character and temperament-- is fixed and unchangeable. I strongly disagree with this because I believe that a person could change if they wanted to and tried hard enough.

Analyzing a Song
For this post I decided to analyze the song Smile by Uncle Kracker. Uncle Kracker uses several great techniques in his song. His song is a very happy, light song because he uses sibilance. You can tell he uses sibiliance because he says " You make me smile like the sun." He also has the happy and light effect because he uses euphony. He uses this when he says "I'm lucky just to linger in your light." He also uses onomatopoeia when he says words like "buzz". His purpose in this song was to be a happy song and tell us about how his loved one makes him feel.

Winter Wonderland Poem
As I wanderously walked outside
I could feel the crisp cold wind
touch my chilled cheeks.
Crushing the icy snow with my feet,
I watching my frozen but joyful puppies
dash in the crunchy white ice.
As i looked up at the brilliant sky,
delivering this chilling day,
I saw small snowflakes falling,
sending excitement through my body
that there would be no school tomorrow.
In the back of my mind I wanted to go inside
and drink my warm hot chocolate
with mini marshmallows,
but I didn't want to leave this winter wonderland.

Research Paper Draft
This week I have been working very hard on my draft for my research paper. I am pretty confident in my topic which is "Child labor in the british industrial revolution". I am confident in this topic because I am actually interested in it! Finding information on this topic was kind of hard because I was it is hard to know which websites were reliable. What was easy though was putting all my thoughts together.
Since I was interested in my topic it was easy for me to remember what I had read and where I wanted to put the information. When you read my draft I would like you to correct any grammatical errors I have and any information that you think could be wrong. I feel that my information is correct but someone told me they weren't sure if it was correct.

Snow Day and Reading Log
On my snow day I hung out with my cousin Amanda. On the first two days we went to her house. We played in the snow, drank hot chocolate, played just dance, and watched movies. On the last day we went to my house. We played in the snow, jumped on my icy trampoline with Clark, played some weird mini golf game that ended up being really fun, and watched Awkward. My snow day was very nice and relaxing. I got to catch up on my sleep and hang out with my family.

Research Topic
My topic for my research project is the Child Labor during the British Industrial Revolution. I have wroked on the treatment, the accidents, and the two types of child labor. The children were treated harshly while working. Many were injured and some were killed because the work was very hard. The children worked hard for 12-14 hours a week and got payed no money or maybe a penny a day. The children were sometimes beaten by the the over lookers or the owners. The two types of child labors were the "free labor children" and the "parish apprentice children". The parish apprentice children were orphans that were taken in by the owners and were forced to work while the free labor children were not forced and were payed.
My topic for my research project is Child Labor during the British Industrial Revolution. In my research I have found that their were two types of children who worked. There were the "parish apprentice children" and the "free labor children". "Parish apprentice children" were orphans that were bought by the rich factory owners and used for work but payed no money because they were taken in. The "free labor children" worked for low wages which could be a penny a day. They worked long and hard but they were not forced to go. I also have found out about the treatment and accidents that happened while working in the mills and factories. The children would get injured or sometimes die because the work was to dangerous or they got beaten up by the workers or over lookers. They had strict decipline and poor working conditions.

Madison's Prompt
My favorite book that I have read was "The Lightning Thief". In this book Percy Jackson finds out that his dad is Poseidon and his mom was normal which makes him a demigod. His mom forces him to go to a camp for demigods for his safety. If I was Percy Jackson I would go to the camp without force because I would be safer and be with people who are like me. Also I would go because if people/things were trying to kill me I would want to know how to fight back and I would want to protect my family from the things that were trying to kill me.
Later on in the book Percy leaves the camp with his friends to go find Zeus's lightning bolt. I would do this exactly like Percy had in the book. Percy is a boy around our age and did everything a kid our age would do. He makes several sacrifices that I would have made as well such as stoping to eat, hanging out in Vegas, and choosing if his mom could go back with them. I would have gone on the mission because it sounds fun and would help save my mom

my research project
My topic for this research project is the rights and responsibilities of children in the British Industrial Revolution. Children in the British Industrial revolution had to work in factories, on a farm, etc and it was very hard labor. Several died or got hurt while doing the intense job. Several went in before the age of 6 and were working for early in the mourning to late at night, with barley any breaks. I chose this topic because I feel like I can connect in a way to this. I feel this way because I was a young child at one point and it would be an awful way to spend my childhood having to work for little money and getting seriously injured and having no fun. On my research to do list is to fix anything that is wrong or need fixing on my annotated bibliography. I also plan on doing more research on my topic so I can get better information.
